    Hi there,

I'm due our 1st baby soon and was wondering if anybody headed up north for their baby supplies? I was going to head to Belfast and get the main things I need (cot/pram/babyseat, etc, etc..). Would anybody have any recommendations for the best place to get stuff? Also is it really saving you any €€€ when you consider staying up for say 2 nights and the drive up also..?

    Thanks,
    Curly_Wurly

I drove up from wexford 3 times and filled the jeep each time staying in bewleys on the way back. Saved a ball at the time with the exchange rate, and that was including the hotel prices and dinner etc etc. do all the ground work on the internet first, and enjoy the trip.:)

they are serious savings to be made alright.

Check the prices online against southern prices. Even in argos there is a huge diff in price e.g. Garden hose 20 sterling cheaper whereas one trampoline was the same price north and south.

Have an idea of what you want first, so you are familiar with prices.

Boots is really cheap, you can get all baby stuff there.

I didnt notice much of a difference though in price of childrens clothes.

At the moment the deals you can get down south are just as good as what you'll get up north. Eurobaby are having a big sale on Cots , prams and all that stuff and you dont have to spend as much on petrol or staying over night. www.eurobaby.ie/ They are offering 50% on one cotbed €400 down to €200 with matress its alway better to look in the south before making the trip up north.
