    Hey All,

The chain on my bicycle broke on the way to work this morning, I hadn't gone far so luckily enough I was able to walk it home.

I have Friday off working so Im looking for suggestions of bike repair shops in Dublin 8 (or somewhere close I can park a car while I wait)?

    Cheers :)

There's not many in D8, but your best bet is probably cycleways on Parnell St.

Or, if you can get a new chain, I'm in D8 and would happily fit it for you :)

not the greatest fan of that place. got them to change a chain and cassette a while back and wasnt impressed with quality of work.

if your are looking for any sort of precision go else where.

If you can get down to Harold's Cross bridge (or Emmet Bridge, to give it its posh name), there's a bike shop on the bridge there. I've never used it but I did have a conversation with the owner once that made me think he knew his sh*t.

Which part of D8? It's a pretty big district. Mc Donald's on Wexford St are good, they've sorted me out when in a bind before.

Thanks for the replies lads. Im in Rialto village itself.

TinyExplosions - thats a generous offer but id have to visit a bike shop anyway to get a chain.

BeerNut & BarraBus - P&K on Patrick Street - within walking and free wheeling distance. Its only a commute bike, so as long as the job does the trick this may be an option.

Ghost Rider - I know the corner well. Travelling that route would be too much like going to work on my day off.

Lukester - This may also be a possible option.

This is plenty to make my decision from, cheers again for the suggestions :D

Wolfe Cycles in Kimmage (Sundrive Road) is pretty close to you and I've found them helpful in the past.

Just on the other side of the Stone Boat from Wolfe, and up a couple of doors.

Yeah between the Stone Boat and the small set of traffic lights at the T-junction.
Lovely food, fair prices, friendly staff and you can sit all day reading the newspaper (which is even supplied for ya) or watch the world go by... gem of place in my opinion...

+1, exactly what I was going to suggest, only up the road from Rialto.
