Does Natural tan affect a Spray tan?

My 21st is next week and I got a bit of colour on the top of my back over the bank holiday weekend, am planning to get a full body spray tan and was wondering will my natural tan affect the results? Thanks any advice is welcomed! :D

I think it does.

My mate had a bit of a tan on her chest and got a spray tan done last week for a wedding. Her strap marks on her chest were still noticeable after the spray tan.
