Very, very awesome. Revolutionary and possible the most annoying thing ever ;) (The checkouts reference!)

I like the checkouts thing. Step to one side and you don't hear it. I wonder how many people would not figure it out, and stay where they are, and be annoyed? Some people like to be annoyed... ;)

Well, the coprporations would have figured that out and head track you next time you evade their advert and the beam will follow you all the home ;) - you could of course wear a tin foil hat to bounce the infra red away ;)

Like the man said- when they use a conventional speaker, what tends to happen is that the checkout person switches off the repeating message because it's too annoying.

The whole point of being able to direct it is to avoid that issue.

so you could be really annoying and point it at the cashier next to you? :) - they wouldn't even know where it's coming from ;)

When this trickles down to full range systems, it'll be cool.

Bloody feck !!!!! AFAIK there was something similar being developed in the
Technology Centre in Cork St before it went
