Sorry if this is a repost or if this is nothing new, but bloody hell:

To be honest, I should have put this is the dial-up forum...

I'm living in Cork city centre, but for some reason every wireless ISP I've contacted doesn't cover my area (even though I'm extremely central). I eventually turned to Irish Broadband, even though I had heard bad things. Now I'm on the top floor of an apartment building and sitting next to a window. Also, the product (ripway modem with ethernet connection) wasn't at all what was described to me when I was ordering by phone. I was told that the only equipment I'd need was a USB dongle, but instead I'm stuck with this awkward thing. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Many have. Ripwave is sh*t, send it back. It's doubtful you'll ever improve on what you have now.

    +1

Try their breeze its far superior, but they may not install on an apartment as there's a good chance your line of sight would be blocked by your own building.
