We’re gearing up for an absolutely mahoossive night in Twisted Pepper on the 19th of June, an opportunity for you to dust off your old firebird trackies or get down to your local Oxfam and and grab some parachute pants - ‘cos breaks don and dub purveyor Tayo is bringing his Tracksuit Party to Dublin.
A celebration of the sports casual and the joy of an old school two piece Adidas… Snowbombing for the last three years, Notting Hill Carnival, Glade, Glastonbury, Sheffield and Sydney are just some of the places that have been turned into a scene from Beat Street for an evening or two in recent years….
Expect Tayo to get the block party heaving upstairs with hip-hop, funk, soul, dubstep, baile funk, ragga, grime, and dancehall amid the broken beat. With the prospect of this polyester party having so many Jimmy Saville look-a-likes, we thought it would be a shame not to entice people down in their shell suits, so everyone who makes the effort; gets in for the reduced fee of €12
Alas, we’re not finished… as downstairs, none other than D’n'B legend ED RUSH is gonna be keeping it dark.
One of the originators, bringing back the dark sounds of Drum and Bass and pushing it to new levels, Ed Rush continues to make waves in the scene and will be celebrating the launch of his new long player “Travel The Galaxy”
All in all, this promises to be a humdinger of a night!!!
