Hi all. Have any of you without Sky Sports ever contacted them to see if they would give you coverage of any sporting events for a weekend, or two weeks etc. For example the Ryder Cup.
I got rid of Sky Sports recently, needed to watch the monthly outgoings. US Open is on this weekend obviously, do any of you think they would give u the sports for the weekend or for one month?

Would be glad for some input.

I think you havent a hope but hope I am wrong.
Why would they do that when if you really want to see something they can get you to sign for the year. I also know you wont do that but the installation costs alone would hardly make it worth there while

The tv people might be able to answer this better, but I take it you still have the Sky basic package? If so you could ring them up and add on the sports for a month. After the month is up phone up and cancel. There's no way they'll just give you a weekend's access for say €10.

Yeah you can subscribe to Sky Sports for 1 month at a time, thats the minimum.
A friend of mine wanted to get Sky Sports for 1 month to watch the Ryder cup last year.
He had his own Sky box and dish (using for Free channels ) but they would only allow him to join for a minimum of 1 year as he hadnt been a Sky subscriber before.
    Bit ridiculous .
