    Hi all,
Firstly im new so just feeling my way around this "boards universe" so go easy if this isnt correct or something! I got a PS3 last christmas and im bored with it really. I was hoping when my g/friend bought it for me that i'd be able to pick up a really good RPG/STRATEGY game but im baffled as to why you cant. Have played Oblivion and a few others but they just dont do it for me. What i really like is a game like Baldurs, a companions game, dosent even have to be on-line. I will play Final Fantasy when it does come out but is there any others out there like D & D?

    Thanks all

You should give Valkyria Chronicles a shot. It's a strategy RPG. There's a demo on the Playstation Store that you could try out.

Agree totally, best game on the PS3 for me.

There's also Disgaea 3. I'm not mad about the Disgaea games but if you do like them there's literally 1000's of hours worth of gameplay in the game.

The only other RPG I can think of is Eternal Sonata which is quite simple.

If you have a PS3 that plays PS2 games get yourself Persona 3: FES and Persona 4. Very deep RPGs that are absolutely brilliant and should be quite cheap.

The PS3 has been pretty terrible for RPGs games.

You seem to be looking for a more western RPG. If you haven't already played them I suggest getting on to Good old games and buying Fallout 1 and 2.

Which PS3 can play the PS2 games? I have the 80 gig type. Yeah the games are pretty poor. Taught you would be able to get PC style RPG'S for it but not at all. I taught Oblivion was going to be amazing but was so dissapointed with it.
