white gums

    i had my lower wisdom tooth taken out few days all went well bit sore but nothing to bad was told to leave brushing for a few days but to wash mouth out with mouthwash 3 or 4 times a day which ive been doing i decided to brush my teeth today very carefully and ive noticed that my gums are whiteish colour is this normal ?

    i suspect they meant to take it easy with the brushing near the extraction sites. if the white colour is everywhere around your mouth it's just a buildup of plaque ( soft white sticky stuff). just give the gums and teeth a good brushing 2 or 3 times a day and you will be back to normal very soon. just be gentle with the back of the mouth where it is probably still tender.

    if the white colour is only at the back , that's ok.

    thanks georgieporgy yeah you were right it was just buildup of plaque and its gone now with plenty of gentle brushing thanks again for your help
