Any sort of broadband in Bweeng?

    Hi guys,

I know that there are a number of providers like Amocom etc in our area providing broadband by line of sight unfortunately my house is situated on the wrong side of the hill to see the mask.

Eircom doesn't seem to have plans to upgrade.

There is no 3G, it stops just before Dan's pub if anyone knows Bweeng at all.

Has anyone got suggestions on how to get broadband in the Bweeng area? I've seen some sat options but installation cost of anything of €600+ is a joke!

    Jim

Have you a line-of-sight to the masts at Bweeng? If so, you might be able
    to get Ripplecom wireless broadband.

Unless you have a good view in that direction, you might find 2Mb/s
ADSL is better than 8Mb/s wireless. IIRC, Tower is very hilly country.
