I haven't heard any new stuff from this mysterious duo in a long time. Or so I think anyway!

I adore their work, really think its some of the best music out there among any genre really but I'm wonderng has anyone heard any word of new stuff?

Would they have packed the whole project up perhaps? If so it's a shame...

I don't actually know. Interesting point though - nothing new since 2006 according to The Internet. Hmm... Can't supply any answers unfortunately.

I hope not... off the top of my head the last release was Campfire Headphase (i wasn't crazy about it though). A 3-year gap between releases isn't that unusual I suppose.

I have only discovered BoC as recently as the as start of the year. Hoping they are not finished, glad to hear there is a potential new release on the horizon.

Godspeed are awesome but I'd never have classed them as similar to BoC but now that you make the comparison, there are similar vibes there but I think they're still quite different.

I've always drawn parallels to my interest in IDM and post rock. I wouldn't really link the two groups mentioned though. They're both great in their own ways.

Tycho from San Francisco makes similar music, at first I thought he was ripping them off but his sound is more 'sunny', BOC's warmth comes from the nostalgia rather than the Scottish weather! 'Past is Prologue' is a great album.

he also does alot of graphic design influenced by USSR and that era I think

Theres also Arovane, same kind of crunchy low-fi percussion, but mostly in these 3 albums/ep's - Atol Scrap, Aer, Cyliph

I actually listen to Arovane more than BOC now, I find I never tire of his sound

Good call on Arovane. The Lilies album is also well worth tracking down.

Ye I have 1 track off it, it sounds different to the others. I cant find it anywhere to download. Ill buy it on vinyl sometime when I have the spare cash, or I could ask some mates if they have it.

A friend gave me that Lilies album because she didn't like it. Her loss!
