MP5 with 203

What do U reckon about mounting a 203 under an MP5??

I know it will take cutting sawing rebuilding glueing etc etc work and Im capable of that just want some feedback first?

But if you were to try you'd get the short M203 and a rail system for the MP5

Well there are railed front end mp5's knocking about now, get one of those and add a railed launcher to it.

It will probably look ridiculous, but hey, so do many airsoft guns.

I think it would look bad but thats just my opinion, personally i cant stand people putting all that magpull crap on there guns and calling it gucci, (i shuddered just as i typed that word) but each to their own.
If you wanna pimp up your mp5 stick a torch on the front of it, or even som kind of foregrip, it may satisfy your urge to modify your gun for a while atleast:)

Very true about the modification urge.

I satisfied mine by sanding and restaining my laminated ak74 furniture, the benefit of wood, is you can mess with it and get real satisfaction from a nice colour or finish

I'd like to present a rather serious and strong rebuttal to that statement but the Magpul discussion is on another thread.

In seriousness OP, if you cannot be talked out of creating that monstrosity, at least tone it down a tad. Get a RAS fore-end or a RIS compatible fore-end and put on an XM203 short or a Mosquito Molds Mini Launcher (or it's cheaper clone).

Rebutt to your hearts content flower. Your right about the mini launcher though. A full on launcher would make an mp5 way too front heavy for my liking.

Two weeks later: Hey guys look, I just mounted a long m203 on top of my MP5K!

Dex was never seen again...

But seriously if your gona put a grenade launcher on your MP5 you should go with one of the smaller launchers, not a M203.

Just my thoughts

i have to agree with nakeddex the short 203 wont look the best on it. because at the end of the day the gun is used for cqb not exactly made for a 203 launcher ya wouldnt really need it. imo

Ill rekill it for him: SG1 with RIS railed front, 3-10X 40 scope, pistol grip and short m203. Ive measured, it fits.

Sniper/grenadier/assault/support weapon. The best of everything. Just need me moneys to go back up :pac:

a 203 is goin to be front heavy but ya could trim the barrel down with a pipe cutter as far as the mount or use a madbull launcher.

maybe throw some weigth into the stock if its the full stock version.

I think thats one of those things that I must see before I die now!

As for launchers for the MP5 you could also try the madbull AGX one with the grip on it


I'm not sure how it would fit though as I've never actually held one

As already mentioned you'll need a ris front end kit for your mp5 if it does not already have one.

If you want to put one on just do it, its your gun,
You dont need the approval of anyone here to do it despite some thinking your offending the airsoft gods,
I know several people who hate all that magpull stuff which in my and there opinion dosnt do anything but ugly up a perfectly nice gun, but thats another issue and I dont tell them that looks stupid or that they have ruined airsoft for me,
If you think its gonna look good(by your taste) just do it, I know I liked the MP5 with launcher in Half-Life;)

Exactly, slap is the frist word that came into my head when i read your post. To me putting a m203 on an mp5 is a no go mp5 is not designed for such things hanging off them. Its on the lines of putting box mags on m4 and the like 'no thanks'. To me its like putting a dirty big spoiler on the back of your ma's old punto lol. No offence ment, do what you like, i don't mind its up to you.

K Guys thanks for all the advice and occasional abuse(comical Im sure)!!!
When I originally said a 203 I didnt specicifacally mean a 203 as in an m16 grenade launcher I actually meant just a dirty big bomb sprayer under my MP5, So now after reading and viewing videos and pictures etc etc I reckon that little old mpsquito wotsits is just the job!!!Will certainly clear bunkers and rooms thats for sure!!

Was thinking of throwing one onto an railed MP5K :P
