mpeg4/mp4 convert to avi/divx?

I want to convert mpeg4 files to avi for files that I have. The files were originally avi files that i tunes converted mp4 files. Stupid apple! But it has reduced the size of the images and when they are played through vlc media player there is a huge loss in quality on my widescreen tv (42 inch) I happy enough to watch…

I happy enough to watch them as they are, just wondering will I lose even more quality if they are converted back to avi again ? Can it even be done? please let me know if they are free, trial or cost actual money?:D

Yasa mp4 video converter, demo version is free, I like it, very functional and fast converter.

www.snapfiles.com or Google "Quick Media convert" , its free and any format to any format is possible can be slow at times. but none the less a good program.
