Lidl Welltech Radio Transmission Set NTL ??

    Hi Everyone
    I picked up today from lidl one of these wireless transmission sets in the hopes of getting Ntl from Front room up to my bed room directly above, I have seen on threads people using these for sky but on hooking all the cables up i cant see a scart out on my NTL box (its the newer style wide flat ntl box not the old small one) Does anyone know if you can indeed use this Lidl welltech with NTL???

    The video works. but on UPC boxes that use IRDA rather than RC5/40KHz IR the remote won't work :)

    Sorry, I don't know which specific models are bad or OK for remote.

    Are you sure? I have UPC working with a video sender, remote and all.

    Which means either
    1) Your UPC box doesn't use IRDA, but regular IR.
    OR
    2) Your Video Sender supports regular IR and IRDA, in which case any UPC box will work.


    I didn't say that it doesn't work.

    hey i was able to get that wireless setup on both the old pace box and the new media box not a bother. There should be an adapter in your lidl contents that has scart at two ends and the red yellow and white connectors coming out of it. Plug your telly into the back of this, plug the adaptor itself into the NTL box and now your sort of "tapping" into the ntl output. Hook the red yellow and white cables into your wireless transmitter and ya should be good to go.

    if ya want any advice on where to put the infrared cable on your ntl box so that it works properly, give us a shout and ill send ya a pic of where i stuck mine on.
