publicity prevention

Is it likely to be possible for someone to prevent publicity of a case in which they are involved in? A way of stopping the case being in the media, or at least omitting the names of the people involved?

I'm not talking about special cases where there is a child involved or someone could be endangered or anything. But, for example, if someone is accused of something incorrectly: They might not want people in general to know about it, and that seems reasonable. It could effect their reputation or career etc.

They could ask the judge to issue an injunction.

You'd need to talk to a solicitor

People have paid off journos in the past to have a court report omitted from the local rag.

    Thanks for your replies.
According to a solicitor, sometimes publicity is prevented if there is a child involved or for something sexual. Otherwise there's nothing you can do about it.
