anyone know anywhere in Limerick apart from the Granary that I can get info on Limerick and its past and present? I am looking for some Local History basically and none of the libraries have much material. Is there any specific Local History Library in Limerick and is it any good? Cheers.

Hey. Not sure if this would be of any use but the library in UL might have some info that you might be looking for. They run an MA in Local History so given its location in Limerick you might find some useful stuff there.
    Hope this helps.

Get in touch with a guy called Cian Carroll, he's the head of the Thomond Archeological and Historical Society, iirc. If he can't answer your question, he can probably tell you someone who can. Another person to talk to would be Denis Leonard, of Limerick Civic Trust.

a good place to go would be The Bishops Palace near Kings John Castle, they run a training course on the history and Folklore of limerick and should be able to help.
