Anyone have any idea the record they were trying to break?
Organisers have called for more than 2,284 people to turn out in Dublin’s Phoenix Park on Sunday morning to wrestle the crown from the current holder Taipei City, Taiwan.

I was there with the family thought it was a good turn out !
The BMX display was fairly awesome, my kids had a ball and there was a lovely chilled athmosphere.

Yeh enjoyed the display myself and the weather was great....just expected a lot more people, especially given the good weather.

I found it one of the best organised family things I've ever done in Dublin, precisely because of the modest turnout.

Normally anything popular involves considerable expense, parking problems, and long queues.

That said, the woman on the Felafel stand was operating at a speed best described as "glacial".

We took our bikes but didn't register.

The irony of this is that a lot of cyclists didn't go because they were out spinning.

    No it wasn't broken.

    See here

I didn't get there until about 1.30 but thought it was a great day. The kids loved the guys on the BMX's. The weather helped also.

I had a great time, was great to give the new bike a good spin in the park! The nice weather made it a lot better though! Shame they didn't break the record.

Planning to attend the city cycle this wed too.

Really enjoyable day out did the full loop with my 2 daughters bit heart in mouth at times with little folk all over the roads, keeping lines was not really the order of the day but hey great topic of conversation with other parents on the way around . The stands were great with all the guys really friendly and up for a chat. Did everyone check out the BBQ bike at the Cycleways stand, burgers to go ..... GREAT.Pity about the record but I honestly dont think event was promoted enough, anyway looking forward to Wednesday.

There was a decent crowd at the start around 12. Someone was taking a count at one point, wonder how many there were.

That part was very disorganised...one girl with a clicker and a few lads shouting at us to get into single file caused a pile up in front of me....they should have really used railings to force everyone into single file.

Bottom of a hill was a bad spot, top of the hill at the end would have strung naturally.
