It was written by Gerry hannon. H owns a internet cafe in William St limerick http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerry_Hannan

If I remember correctly, it was written in response to Frank McCourt's book entitled "'Tis" - I think it was meant to discount some of the claims in that book (could be wrong!)
