I have recently been alloted lots of time off due to the big R, I now intend to scam the scammers, to kill thr time...like this http://www.419eater.com/

Mods, Better forum perhaps ? Plse move as you see fit.
I need vaulenteers with ideas and photoshop etc...Lets have some fun

lol some of the letters on that site are hilarious.....1 guy got two wooden carvings for free telling the guy he as an art dealer...

it cost the original cammer 150 pounds to send them to him... and they were good as well

I recently got scammed out of a couple euro by a low level con artist doing the rounds on my street. Mistake she made was giving me the phone number she was using by actually ringing my phone (presume she did this to assure me she was genuine, and in my hungover state I believed her).

What she didn't count on was me being stubborn and deciding I was going to get my money's worth from the scam.

Tried ringing her a couple of times (with my number blocked) and she hung up every time. So then I rang through to her voicemail, tried the default password and got in. I set about changing her message and changing her password so she couldn't access her message minder even from her own phone. I then turned on every alert going - text saying she'd missed a call, phone call and text saying she had a voice message etc.

I thought she would merely dump her SIM card and get a new one as one would expect a con artist to have a whole stock of SIM cards to use. But she kept hanging up on me, not answering the phone for a few days. Seeing that she seemed determined to keep using the same number I decided to place an ad on gumtree looking for some 'NSA fun in Dublin'. When people emailed they got a bounced mail from the Yahoo account I'd set up giving out the number and asking guys to ring or text to arrange to meet up.

200 emails arrived in the first two days before the ad got taken down. So that's probably at least 100 phonecalls and/or texts that my con artist had coming in.

Then I got bored and stopped but I think I got my money's worth.

Scambaiting is great fun. But it can get pretty addictive and you have to be realistic. It's only the real idiots that will let you make them take stupid pictures, travel or get tattoos.

Ah it's embarrassing that I even fell for it. I'd rather not go into the gory details. Suffice to say me being quite hungover certainly helped her out as I was barely thinking straight and thought I was being a good neighbourly type when in fact I was just being a sucker. :rolleyes:
