What do people think of training aids such as the mats and nets listed here:
http://www.onlinegolf.co.uk/gadgets/golf-mats/385og_sc.asp. I was thinking they'd be good to have so I can practice out in the back garden which is very small. Any opinions? A mat and a net? I'm a beginner.

I got one of these mats from the UK recently. Its very durable, unfortunately it was on offer at the time for about £100.00, its gone up since. Got a few decking planks and made a frame to sit the mat into.

I got a guy in Kilmore Quay to make me a couple of nets which totalled 130 Euro. All in all, the whole lot when made cost about 350 Euro. Its seems like a lot, but I was looking for something that will last the long term.
When you think of all the time and cost going to the range , it might be a better option long term. My mate built a frame from galvanised box tube for me so that the decking frame would be 2 inches off the ground. Stop it from rotting.
Hope this is of some use to you.:)
