l96 noise

    well this isnt really a troubleshooting issue but i just wanted to know if the well l96 is quiet or if its as quiet as the vsr 10 or bar 10. Thanks in advanced everyone:D

    Its probably no different to the BAR10, the TM VSR though is a little quieter than both the others.

    If you're trying to decide which one to get. I recommend the TM VSR. It's worth the higher price.:D

    There is a bit of resonance of sound in the l96's outer barrel, if you dampen the barrel with spacers or some material it is quieter.

    yeah i have used spacers and stuff for keeping sound studios sound proofed and it helps alot

    It was your one I found particularly quiet for an l96, was impressive.

    This is laborious but works... if one places thin strips of electrical tape on the side and top of hte rear of the reciver where it meets the bolt head, (ie, around the cylinder as it enters the rifle), build it up slowly, till its just cockable. This stops the cylinder 'just' hitting the head, and reduces the crack from the cylinder... Lemming will attest that with silencer fitted (and spacers) my baby its practically silent at 500fps... 328 wont even be effort. :)

    Cheeky always has great work around for sniper rifles to silence them etc, he should make a sticky ;)
