This tournament is really good, it's well organised and has a great structure but the location is terrible, if it was held closer to the inner city it would get more runners.

Cheers for the positive feedback, but some of us Northsiders like to have the odd tournament within walking distance :)

Stephen does the hotel have WIFI/tinternet access ok?

A few players trying to use the old "i have an online tourny" excuse!

    Hi Eoin,

Yeah it does, free in the lobby and if you are in the poker room it is available (but only close to the registration desk).

If the lads have an online tournament to play we can't force them to play some real poker :)

    Cheers for this,
    Stephen.

Sunday is Fathers day so I get to dictate what I want to do for just one day of the year... I think I ll get on to Flushdraw too and let him call it a ''nearly a fathers day'' so we both can play..

Will do my best to make this Steve.

I punted my stack off in the first hand of the 50 - 100 level:

KK < Eamonn O' Reilly's 53 on a K647 board. Most of the loot went in on the turn, and I obviously didn't set up on the river.

Was a nice hotel and room for the tournament, and things looked well set up.

Eamonn took my stack too in the 2nd level with a higher flush than mine.. He was quite the terminator yesterday was our Eamonn..... I just could nt lay my hand down against him when the inner voice was shouting to fold... Bah.

Nice tourny though, nice set up. Hopefully I will play this again next month

you were real unlucky in your exit hand and your chips made my position against your villain pretty tough considering he was directly on my left.

I lost a chunk at 800/155 TT<AQ Button v BB and then shoved 10BB's effective into the BB who woke up with QQ then shoved 89s for my last 8bb's and didn't get there against KQs.

It was great to see the greater numbers at this yesterday it was a good laugh and there was still a decent average stack at the FT with about 220BB's in play 9 handed when I busted.

I will be there again next month

Enjoyed the Northside location and the set up.
44 played. Prize pool of 4,400. 5 or 6 paid.
Went out in 15th when I got it all-in with JJ & lost out to AK.
    Hope to play this again.
I am sure Stephen when he gets a minute will publish who made the final table and what was paid out to each.

Great tounament and well worth the journey down. Was lucky enough to hang on for 5th and Yos took it down.

We will be back next month with a few more guys for sure. If 44 is the number to be built on then convincing people to play should be easy enough.

    Good times.

Enjoyable tournament, the 1 o'clock start time is quality. Chopped it 4 ways with 3 of us taking 900 and Yos taking 1k. Should be a good game next month with more lads from the north expected, should get 50+ runners.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,771 ✭✭✭carfax

Cheers for all the feedback guys (great publicity :) )

I will get full results posted shortly.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

Funniest part of the day on Sunday had to be the conversation between DitPoker and yourself:

    General discussion about Boards going on at the table;

bigbadpat: Oh, who are you on Boards?
DitPoker: I'm DitPoker, who are you?
    bigbadpat: I'm bigbadpat.
DitPoker: Oh!... ... ... That makes sense.

Great to put a name to a face there Pat, I know you've played a few tournaments that I have been at before too but I didn't realise who you were :).
