Maybe nothing? Check the filter first.

What make and model is it?

    it's a hotpoint wf 210.

i found a few refs to the same problem on here http://www.fixya.com/support/t2183049-machine_will_not_drain_water_or_spin

so it's more than likely a filter problem...

thing is, with this model, i cant find the filter... i read on another forum, that it's at the back... half way between the pump and the drum...

there is a panel at the back that you can remove... but all i see is a tube and a couple of wires... what's a filter look like?

I ve a hot point with no filter either . If you put the hose on the ground it will drain by gravity ( put it out the door)
    .
MAKE SURE TO UNPLUG THE MACHINE

Put the machine on its side and you can see the pump underneath with a large black hose connected to it (about 3inches wide ),should be a jubilee clip holding it on .
If you disconnect this hose you can see clear into the pump impellar , mine was blocked with loads of small coins .
Take them out and put it back together .

Hope this helps ,(my thanks to another boardsie who helped me with this a few months ago ,not all machines have filters to prevent this blockage )
