weird quicktimepro problem

hi, recently whilst watching stuff on quicktime it has started missing the end. So watching the boxing and it ends with about thirty mins remaining. Use vlc to check the avi and its all there, this has happened with a few avis now, its annoying and i cant find a google solution, maybe i'm searching wrong?? Any ideas?
