Why do the G.A.A.not hire a professional marketing company to promote and sell the game of hurling all over the world? There is no better, more skillful game anywhere on this planet.Just look at that classic 2 weeks ago between Cork and Tipp-a classic.A question-why has soccer not taken off in the U.S.?Answer-its boring except for the odd game.Hurling is a sure fire winner.I do not come from a hurling stronghold,Mayo, but I enjoy skill and endeavour.Come on G.A.A. and make a bucketful of money.:D

Sounds like a good idea, did you every look at hurling websites both in Ireland and abroad - many are extremely poor and amateurish. Mind you its not just hurling sites the same can be said of gaelic football websites. Many of the GAA sites on the web have not been updated in months sometimes even years. I'm sure this doesnt inspire new adopters of the sport. Some on-line GAA marketing should definitely improve the image of hurling and GAA in general.....:)

I feel the Gaa have missed the boat. When Setanta Uk went under, that was the opportunity for new innovation to relaunch those 2 fantastic sports. It doesn't help that most of the Irish pubs in London, and probably elsewhere over here, have swopped boxes for Irish sky.I heard on talk radio just a few minutes ago that today is the most significant day in the sporting calender-the start of the premiership.Pause for 20 seconds while I threw up.I long to see the day when Irish people all over the world can watch everything on their tvs just like u back home. The Gaa can start the process and sell the country as well.

As one of the forgotten GAA irish abroad!! You might be interested in a new email service from the GAA Co Board's (the service is available for 27 counties plus London). You can sign up to get your club/county results by free weekly email. The service is provided by eSports Manager software in conjunction with the Co Boards (the Co Boards use the software to manage their competitions and collect results).

You can sign up directly on http//:GAA_Results.sportsmanager.ie

I hope your county is included in the 28 Counties! :)

    Cheers

Hi Miseeire, fraid I am a Galway woman but I do have three Mayo Children. I do support Mayo (and Galway) I would love to see Mayo win an all-ireland. I wonder if Mayo had beaten Meath would they have beaten Kerry. Maybe we should wait for a clash with Kerry for an all-ireland!!! cheers
