TV3 offering episode 'catchup' in advance

Whats the point of showing episodes on the net before the TV airing? Catch up has some merit, but full pre broadcast? http://www.tv3.ie/shows.php?request=coronationstreet

ITV might not be too happy about that, if they're showing episodes before even ITV show it.

Seriously is there anything worth watching on TV3 that you feel you need to see it a day before everyone else?

Are they showing the news a day before too? If so the lottery next Wednesday is mine.
