I got a bit fed up by 24 after season 5. I heard the new ones were a bit better, there has been some changes.
Is it really the case?

I got lost in BSG as well, did not get the new meta thing goddish stuff around season 4. Went over my head, I switched off, although I would like to see the end. It is finished by the way?

I am more in the military/action/suspense/SF (Proper one..) kind of TV series.

24 is gone to the dogs and even the new series which the writers had so much more time to come up with new ideas and they failed miserably. It should have finished after season 5. Try all seasons of Spooks from the BBC.It has gone through quite a few changes of the main characters but still retains great storylines good tension and quality acting.

This strike the last year really killed some of the shows I am pretty sure. Many people lost interrest then when they came back, the audience was not ehre anymore, people moved on to other stuffs and series. So today many of them have been stopped...

Plenty of suggestions here, will check this out.

Damn, Stargate Atlantis was so lame...
Poor stories overall and season 5 was clearly cutting budgets...
Last episode was such a deception...I was expecting an end that would come slowly but surely, but no...just brutal.

Anyway moving to the next serie Hopefully will be better. Have not decided yet.

House MD - Excellent - Season 5 just ended.
Brotherhood - Very good - seems to be in limbo at the moment.

Watched the pilot of chuck the other night, it's got potential

I also watched Moonlight season 1 and Sanctuary season 1.
Both are ok. I prefered Sanctuary, although it lacks a bit of FX and means, but this is the first year. SG1 season 1 was crap too...

Moonlight and their vampires is a bit of a remix of the remix. But still it is a pretty descent show. Actors and stories are good.

Would second Dexter which is outstanding. The Mentalist is a bit ropey in parts but see what you think.

True Blood is the best show I've seen in the last year but that's only one season.

BSG is well worth the watch if you haven't seen it.

I lost interest in 24 2 episodes into season 2. Although the last one was just so over the top with the torture thing it was borderline comedy and I loved it.


True blood is good, slow starter though but once all the nudity came into it it became unmissable.

Battlestar Galactica is an absolute must!.. excellent series, also Firefly (which someone else has already mentioned - but deserves a second one!). X-Files (though old, still a brilliant series when watched back to back). And for something really really old - they are selling the A-Team and Baywatch series on cdwow... cheap as chips!!!... :pac::pac:

As trustno1 said, the xfiles is defo worth a look. Finished all the seasons a month or two ago, was quite emotional so it was. watched firefly then, and now the unit. have to keep myself amused commuting in and out of work.

Oh.. have you seen Spaced staring Simon Pegg??... only two seasons long but well worth a look - hilarious stuff, especially if you are movie buff.. and sure while I am mentioning Spaced - might as well throw in The Mighty Boosh.. excellent...
