I want to buy a campag centaur carbon groupy. had initially planned on buying from merlin:
    http://merlincycles.co.uk/?fn=product&productId=1214&categoryId=159

their page says they only have a compact double, so after a couple emails they tell me they have no intentions of restocking the standard. i was hoping i could get some guidance from your combined online buying power as to where would be cheapest to buy this. ps i have connections in the states which can recieve if it would be cheaper to buy or have delivered to the states. thanks for any and all help
    J

JE James are usually quite cheap, though not quite as competitive in this case.

I've read bad comments (not here) about their customer service though.

edit: they're out of stock too, sorry

I bought mine from shinybikes: http://www.shinybikes.com/bikes/campagnolo-centaur-groupset.html . They are awfully slow on replying emails.. but they are fine on the phone.
Have in mind that the carbon group comes with the alloy version of the derailleur which is 7g lighter than the carbon (but the carbon looks better). You have to request that you need the carbon rear mech on your order.

Edit: I see they brought Athena 11 speed groupset at a very good price, http://www.shinybikes.com/bikes/campagnolo-athena-groupset.html maybe have a thought :)

yeah i saw the athen, but as it is my budget is seriously stretched. yeah, i noticed that bout the rear derailleur and i definitely want as much carbon as possible. it looks so much better.

i have come across this minus VAT if i ship it to the U.S. i just sent an email querying shipping and the like.

any idea if it would be cheaper to buy it in america, i'll be over there in a couple weeks and my bike wont be built before i get back either way?
