    Hi All

I have a very strange one, I'm not optimistic for help!
Bacically I gt Shy HD before christmas and upgraded my TV to a Phillips HD 42". All good, but when I plugged in my HD box I couldn't use the remote. After pressing the button 20 times or so it would maybe pick it up and then await another plethora of presses.
We changed the remote, the HD box and then the TV. When plugged into the old one it worked as it should.
On rare occasions on the old box it has had problems, so now i have the HD box on the old TV in the bedroom and the new TV is using a poor Aerial connection, has anyone ever had this problem?

Sky of course are blaming TV, and Phillips are blaming Sky.. I dont care id just like it to work..

Oh and just to throw a spanner in, when I brought HD box into shop, it worked fine on same model. Maybe the house is on a fairy ring and there are anti satellite spirits?

    Please help if ye can

do you use a video sender? I had a video sender and it stopped one of my remotes working. The remote would only work if the sender was switched off! Im actually thinking it was a philips remote.

Hi Snaps, No video sender that i'm aware of, I have a WiFi in the house but switched that off and no luck. Once I attach the HD box to the the flat screen phollips communication between HD box and remote seems to 'Jam'.

    Its a mystery

I had a similar problem that you are experiencing but with a toshiba tv, but only when I entered the correct code so that I could use the Sky Hd remote to control the tv.

I found that by taking out the code to operate the tv it worked fine, and although a bit mused the customer accepted he would have to use both remotes.

Maybe you could try a similar thing....enter a code for a diferent tv e.g. a sony

Do this by pressing tv on the sky hd remote.
Now press and hold select and red together(leds will flash on top)
    now press tv
now press 0,0,0,0 on the numeric keypad..
    press tv..

Now press sky and see if it will operate the sky box...

If u want to return the remote to its original ...you can reset it by..

Following the guide above...but enter 999 instead...of the four zeros.

Yes, the TV is emitting interference which is overloading the Digibox I/R sensor. Unplug the TV at the power socket and the problem will go away.
One possible "fix" is to fit a "magic eye" to RF2 and aim the remote at that.

    Thanks Sam et al

Unfortunatly the remote re-programming won't work either.
I do also believe its some interferance, i tried some tinfoil over it.. will try the magic eye. Cheers will let you know.
