I sometimes put handwash stuff in a delicate wash! It works out fine, but don't hold me to that!!!! If you payed a lot for them and would be devastated if they got ruined I would stick to handwashing!!!!

Thanks for that Lees, I'm just being a bit lazy - the thought of trying to hand wash jeans seems a bit too much like hard work.:)

Yup I'm the same as Lees, I just pop them in the delicate wash. Just make sure its a low temperature and a delicate quick wash and it should be fine. I used always handwash things before if the label advised it, but its such a pain in the ass so I started chancing them in the washing machine, and have had only 1 disaster so far (and it wasn't jeans!) :)

that advise may be first few washes in case they run......if they are denim you should be able to machine wash , make sure not to put anything with them. :)

If they're not really that dirty and just need a wash to freshen them up a hand wash is grand and easy. Drying takes a bit long just...

You need to use a designer washing machine.

I have a pair of Rockin Republic Jeans, they cost me a small fortune and I was very nervous washing them first time round but they were fine... I put them in on their own, inside out and buttoned up ( to save shape) at 30degrees, made sure I was around to take tgem straight out when they were done and hung them out. They were perfect, put them on hhot press for a final air and they were like new after..

Now I dont think I'll be buying another pair any time soon (eur500!)but I do love the 36" leg as I'm tall and need the length.. Does anyone know of anywhere around the South East where I can get jeans with a 36 leg that wont make me default on my mortgage payments? I know there was a shop in Kilenny and one in Waterford called Route 66 that did Mustang jeans (have 2 pairs but both with 34" leg) and she was able to order in 36" leg stuff, but she has since become a victim of the R and is gone to the wall. So if anyone knew of anywhere I could get some, or any brands that do them regularly I'd be very grateful for the info!
    Ta Very Much!:P

Wash them inside out to keep the colour.

Jeege, is there a Topshop near you, or can you buy from them online? They do 36" leg.

Yeah, I think there's on ein Debenhams in Waterford, haven't been down that way in a while, must take a spin that way so, thanks twee. I just find a 34 leg is lovely at first but after a few washes they're more like a 33", and thats just a tad short on me..
Got some lovely Levis in the outlets in Kildare last year, but that's before God threw a few ounds at my waist, now it physically hurts to wear them, hoping to be back into them easily by xmas... So I can undo it all over again!!

I you do decide to wash them in the machine pop in a colour catcher sheet as well. Often Jeans can run a bit when washed first.

I put a lot of handwash stuff on the delicate cycle, use Woolite (it really does make a difference) and put it in a pillow-case to minimise the damage.
