If anyone looking for an Event in July.
    http://www.westernlakescc.com/cgi-bin/download.cgi
We have joined up with Concern for this year as our chosen Charity.
All the climbs are of the short sharp shock variety. Alot of the roads have been used in the Western Stages of Pro TOI in the last 2 years.

There's 3 stops with 1 main Feedstop and also there is a BBQ ready and waiting as riders come back.

Is it necessary to be a member of a cycling club to do the Polka Dot Challenge?

A BBQ? Wow, fair play. Don't know if I will do it right now, bit early to tell, but it sounds good.

The link in the first post did not work for me. here is the one I got on the site - http://www.westernlakescc.com/#/polkadot-challenge-route2009/4531993692

Would love to do this but seeing as it's a week before ehe triathlon in Carna I think it might be a bit much for me.

Shamelessly going to bump this post:D

For all of you who have been saying that your hooked on sportives having ridden W1/2,Rok, TofL etc this is worth considering as your next trip.

Ballinrobe is easy to get to. We will look after you very well. The route which I rode all of yesterday to make sure that I was not mad to ask anyone else to do it is pretty special. The scenery is amazing. The roads are quiet. And the Hills well it depends how hard You want them to be.
    We have 3 routes
    180 km
    160 km
    80 km

    Some constructive feedback.

The times should be on the main page, and not hard to find.... Some cyclist have said the detail is poor on the site and maps are not clear, that is why they're not doing it...have to agree with their criticism.

I'm hoping to do this cycle, but would recommend you upload individual maps for the fada, dot, and beag, and have the start times on these pages.

The tour-de-burren maybe a good example to refer to.

    :)

I accept your comments on the website.
Please dont let the lack of detail give the impression that the event will be lacking. I can personally promise the route will be very well marked and that the feedstops will be well supplied.
