new to dublin how do i make new friends???

    Not looking for lifelong friends (though if that happened it'd be great), but just people around my age (19) to go socialising with.....have the craic with etc...it's so hard to meet people in Dublin and it's a shame cause I love going out in the city but i dont know anybody around here. Anyone got any ideas? Would just love to go out on a Saturday night with a bunch of my mates my own age and dance my feet off and have some fun. I've just moved over to dublin from london and none of my friends live over here so i have to make some new ones i didnt know it was so hard to find people to go out in town with has anyone got any ideas?

    One easy one is the After hours Boards Beers on th 20th :)

    Hopefully wherever you work / will study will have a few others your age.

    you could always try your luck posting on gumtree. from what i hear, there are a lot of people in your situation. looking to go out with new mates and stuff.

    gigs! we have loads of them! That's where I meet a lot of randomers like yourself.(I'm 18)there's also events on the dlr web site where you could meet people it's a good place to start there's always loads of people at them! Just start talking to strangers at the bus stop, DART station, in Tesco.. you never know!
