I've tried downloading the latest version of gens and when I try running the gens.exe just hangs and theres a box saying gens - idle.

How could I get it to work?

Yep just tried a few other versions and they all hung on idle.
    None of them worked.

what operating system are you using and don't forget you need the sega gens bios file, which you will have to google for and the roms. try THE EMULATOR ZONE for the latest gens. i'm using windows 7 here and it works just fine. it worked just fine in xp as well haven't tried vista though.

opps my fault. i was getting mixed up with the playstation 2 bios. it does work on its own without looking for any bios. make sure your graphics driver is updated as well. it should just work i never had a problem using it on different operating systems.
