What size board should I get?

    Ok so i'm 5 foot 11 or 6 foot,9 and a half stone.I am thinking about getting a board during the summer but don't know what size.The thread at the top of the page said i'd need one around 7 foot and a fella I know said i'd need a bigger one,any opinions?

    9foot+. Trad shaped Longboard with decent width, more of a wave catching machine then a short'n pointy shortboard.

    Never mind all that "I'm 4ft3ins tall therefore I should get a 6ft whatever size board.

    Just practice catching waves and don't bother with anything else other then also learning to turn the thing for a good while and enjoy!!

    Bigger is better when getting your first board.9ft+. Its all about learning to stand and spending as much time as possible catching small summer surf or whitewater. Do not under any circumstances allow a surf shop assistant sell you a short pointy board.
