Holding over supplementary welfare allowance

hi i was wondering if anyone had any info for me on a question i have.. I am currently in receipt of full supplementary welfare allowance until my JSA comes through (been waiting since feb!) but I am 9 months preg and in the next week i will be in hospital after birth for a period of days which will fall over the days my payment is in the post office to be collected. i asked today in the post office if the payment would be held over if i didn't collect it and she said she didn't think so.. what do I do? there is absolutely no way i can collect it, and no way i can get by with a skipped payment... the answer is prob very simple but right now was wondering if anyone had any ideas what i do in this situation??

Did you call the CWO and ask him? That would be the best route I would think.

Would you mind saying how long it took you to get the supplemental welfare allowance? I'm applying next week and hoping there aren't waiting times for that aswell!

I would revisit the cwo and explain that.


If it applies to you, you may have to switch to one parent family payment.
