Dublin Golf - Golf Carts?

I'm relocating to Dublin from USA. I have a terrible hip and can't walk long distances, but love to play golf. Over here we have electric or gas powered golf carts that we ride in.

I've heard that golf in Ireland is different, that there are no riding carts, only walking carts that you pull/push.

Are there any courses around Dublin, private or public, that allow for individuals to rent and ride in a cart?

Most courses would have golf carts to hire for between €20 and €40 per round depending on the course. Carts wouldn't be as popular here as in the USA but you can usually book one in advance (advisable).

If you go on the Golf Union of Ireland website ,www.gui.ie , under golfers it lists all the courses in dublin/ireland ,and under each course it will tell you the facilities in each course
