This in the right thread first of all?

What do people normally do while driving (no smart answers like accelerating, braking etc!)?

I do a lot of driving at the weekend, normally I'd listen to Today FM or Newstalk (Off the ball, last word, right hook) I dont like listening to music in the car. Do any of ye listen to podcasts? Any site recommendations to download some?

Pay attention and abide by the rules of the road like all drivers should.

Mostly listen to my mp3 player (through the car stereo of course). Mostly music, but sometime listen to old Ricky Gervais radio shows (like the podcasts, Ricky Steve and Karl Pilkington talking) and of course the podcasts too. Its about an hours drive to and from work so they're great at making the journey seem shorter

Usually text my friends and/or read a book. I'll look up every so often to ensure my fog lights are still on too.

Balls, no longer in after hours....

Some good driving music, and smoke like a trooper. Dont know why, but when I quit smoking last year, I missed them most when driving

I drive around 50 hours a week and turn off the radio at 9am and switch it back on at 8am.

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

Watch tele? I used to watch the 6.1 RTE news on my way home from work while stuck in traffic.

Ha, dito, RTE is about the only reliable reception channel. News is good as you dont have to watch the screen unless youre stopped and you still know whats going on.

Usually listen to the same 6CDs over and over, and switch to 2fm if Nicky Hayes isnt on, otherwise its Today FM.
