I have a Freesat Humax HD up and running for a while now.

I just plugged in another box, to the same setup, and it's not detecting a signal

I've plugged the old one back in, and its working fine with the same connections etc

i think i might have a dud box

    Any Suggestions

Recheck you didn't use an IF out loop socket instead of LNB IF in.
Also that LNB /MOtor/Diseqc/satellite/LNB Power settings all make sense:

    LNB Power ON
    H/V auto (18V / 13V)
    22kHz Auto
    10600 for high band switch
    No USALS, GotoX or Diseqc
    Satellite = Astra/Eurobird 28.2/28.5E

Then do a scan. The default transponder may have no signal.

    sat input is correct.
It's the initial setup that the prob is occuring.
No option to change bmw settings
It's destined for the bin :(

Currently trying to get my hands on one of those humax boxes. Can anyone tell me does the non-hard drive version of this box have the search and scan programme guide function like the sky digibox or does it just have the now and next like I've seen on some the cheaper freesat boxes? Cheers

I've had that happen in the past with Grundig Freesat boxes. I just had them replaced.

Have no experience with Humax hardware though.

@ Dony: The Freesat branded hardware has a full 7 day listing/EPG.
