water + few bars should be fine for a 100km in this weather imo, isotonic/water with nunn tablets probably better, but for 100km you'll should be ok anyway

Spare tube + pump, comfy shorts, bit of food, water and other bits and pieces depending on the weather/how you feel.

    Have fun with it!

    Your A-Game.
A Can of Whupass to open on your cycling buddies.
    A spare tube or two.
    Puncture repair kit.
Tyre inflating device e.g. a pump.
    Camera.

Mobile phone (beats a puncture repair kit hands down:D)

This is me on the Wicklow100. I didn't want to bring much more.

Great fun going down hill....not much fun on the way up though!

Don't forget your race face. Wrap around pink framed shades. And hair gel.

Seriously, as above, fig roll bars/nutrigrains. Cash and credit-card.
Clothing of choice dependent on forecast.
Depending on route, an idea of where you can re-fill water. Not usually an issue in Ireland.

Bring some a tenner and your phone, nothing worse than getting an irreparable mechanical or bonking in the middle of nowhere with no way home.

Some good suggestions there. Probably best you bring more than you might think you need but as you do more of these you will get it down to just what fits into three jersey pockets.

I'd add- a raincoat or gilet (I have one that folds up and fits into one of my jersey pockets.)

Remember along with the pump and tube you will need tyre levers :)

Cycleways have good big saddle bags similar to this one http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Specialized-Wedgie-Saddlebag_2368.htm

They score minus on the euroscale though.

Proper cycling kit including gloves - ordinary shorts and cotton t-shirts won't do.

Also if there's the real risk of rain def. include jacket & overshoes as well. You'll be much more comfortable in 'inclement' weather if you have 'em.

+1 on the tenner, phone (in a plastic bag), energy drink/gels/nuun tablets, puncture repair materials

When I'm cycling I always have the following: Mobile phone, €20, can of foam for punctures (just to get me home), 2 bottles of water/lucozade sport, 2 nutrigrain bars (may not use all, but I feel it's no harm to have extra), tool kit (you know those Swiss-Army type things). Don't be afraid to tell anyone it's your first time out either.

I recommend eyewear - dark lenses if it's sunny; clear or yellow if it's overcast. I got a piece of grit in my eye up in the Sally Gap a few weeks ago and it took hours to work itself out of my eye. I was to be seen weeping into my ale that evening in the pub, like some sort of bearded Paul Gascoigne. Not pretty.
