Appeals Waiting Time

I applied for One Parent Family Allowance in late November 08 and received my decision mid March 09. 15 weeks I suppose is not to bad?

However after being granted the princely sum of €1.64 per week I appealed the decision and posted the appeal the same day. I rang the Appeals office in late May to enquire about my case. They had not received my files from my Local SW office, now the appeal was made and received 11 weeks previously.

And wait it gets better, the average time for an appeal to be heard is 20 weeks!!!!!!!!!!! So if my file was received the same week I spoke to the Appeals Office, this saga will have taken 46 weeks!!!!!
