hi. just moved to a new house in a housing estate in kilkenny, The Paddocks for those of you who are from there, and am having a lot of problems gettin broadband. have tried chorus but apparently our house is the only one not set up for their internet, digiweb was a no go as the trees have grown too high and line of sight has been lost. 3, vodaphone, o2 are not good enough at the moment (besides, phone signals very poor inside house). the only other options at the moment is either get eircom (which means line rental) or that ripwave box from irish broadband. just wondering if it is worth getting ripwave. can you play online games with it and will the likes of youtube work on it or is it just a fancy name for a dial-up speed service?
any help would be much appreciated.

not sure what k glass is but have to go outside to make a phone call because the signal keeps dropping inside

The WiFi aerial can go outdoors :)

K glass is Pilkington coating to reduce heat loss on double glazing. Since it's metallic film it dramatically reduces radio waves (longer wavelength to radiated heat so blocked better)
