Hi guys. My brother is buying a new laptop and wants to get a second battery for it.

How do you know if a battery is compatible with a particular model? He found this one but I wouldn't know enough to be sure if it is compatible or not.

You would need to find the battery model number for that specific computer. Google should help with this. Definitely just don't go buying any random Acer battery, make sure it is compatible with your specific laptop.

The battery youve linked is for a tiny netbook, and definitely won't work with your laptop.

most battery vendors will list what model lines the battery is compatible with.
