I've just read that Failte Ireland have suspended their funding for courses for maintenance.. they will still pay the tuitition but they wont pay a weekly training grant like they did in the past.. Does anyone have any ideas of what other grants you could get to life on while studying? I'm mature student.

i was posting the query for my housemate.. he got his letter of acceptance yesterday and was in a panic about what grants might be available. There was a list of things you have to pay for on the first day.. knives, uniform, safety shoes, photocopying... all in all nearly 500euros worth of stuff
