songbird not recognizing some albums

hey songbird is not reconising around 400 of my songs , its becuase i there is no metadata on these songs , it will take me ages to do these 1 by 1 so im just wondering if anyone knows any program that can just scan through them and asign what album they are and edit there metadata ? cheers

I'm using a programme called MusicBrainz Picard to update all my music files. Uses a database of music to update metadata and it's free. I find it pretty good for albums though I've now gotten to the stage where I manually have to select albums and drop the folder of music over the album. Might be of use!
