Interesting concept, would use it to do grocery shopping no problem, but from a quick look the site is a little slow and unresponsive (100mb connection to the Internet here in the office), being able to navigate the menu very fast (i.e. pretty much instantaneous) would make things alot easier and i'd be more likely to use it.

They don't have much stock but they are quite cheap. A 6 pack of Coke is €1.99 and you can get a 24 pack of Diet Coke with 6 cans free for €8.89. I recon these are cheap imported products though.

Coke cans are UK, assuming the picture is accurate. Out of stock now.

how much is delivery and is it restricted to Dublin area?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 152 ✭✭brosna

They don't deliver. Collect yourself from Bray, Co. Wicklow. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

See below from their Questions and Answers section.

Q: Do you offer a delivery service?
A: No we do not offer a delivery service. CheepCheep is strictly a ‘click & collect’ service. Customers have 4 days from date of order to pick up their purchase from our depot. After the 4 days the customer looses all claims to his order. See directions. See our opening hours.

handy if you live in or near Bray at those prices, but not sure it's worth it otherwise

This web site needs a tutorial about what it is and how to use it on the home page. Because this is an unusual way of shopping, it's a sort of hybrid internet shopping. So they need to show people what it is and how to use the site. Looks like good prices though, handy if you're within commuting distance of Bray.

    Has Bray moved from Wicklow?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,630 ✭✭✭Oracle

Yeah Bray moved from Wickla years ago! (New name Blackpool, Co. Dublin) There is something like this for those outside Dublin, the €2 Euro stores. :D

Bingo. Am driven demented by a 2 year old obsessed with Peppa. As soon as I saw the chicken on the cheepcheep website I thought of one of the characters in Peppa Pig, seems very similar...

Site is fast enough for me !
I have bought twice from them and the savings are HUGE.
Great to see this innovation, hopefully they will keep expanding.
Good to see they have some stock of Organic products.
