Do you get all the radio stations on a sky box with no viewing card in it? We're looking at pulling out NTL and going that route but the parents are worried about losing Radio 4 which we currently get on our radio which is connected to our NTL box.

You get a whole host of Radio stations for free on a sky box without a card in it...

Here is a general listing of most of the tv channels and radio channels for free as prepared by byte...

About 70 radio and over 200 TV. Though only about 40TV and 15 Radio are worth having :)

You don't need a Sky box.

You can use a Sky box (with or without a card)
    Freesat box
FTA box (B&Q, Maplin, Lidl, Aldi).

You do need a dish and LNB outdoors. It won't work on the UPC/NTL cable.

Thanks guys, there is a Sky Dish on the house so we will use that.

IS it a VHF or a UHF indoor aerial that we need to get RTE? We live in Dublin so I assume a little bunny ears one will do the job? Alot of the ones in Argos talk about Freeview and that sort of thing which is presumably about the UK, will they work for me here? Can anyone recommend a cheap one?

See the aerial thread on Terrestrial. You want the UHF aerial.

There is no difference between aerials for analogue or Digital or freeview. Only VHF vs UHF or strong signals (indoor) vs weak (chimney).

Bunny ears are for VHF. See
