Question Re: Portaventura Tickets

Heading to the Costa Dorada in the next week or so and planned on buying my tickets for PortAventura online before travelling because I believe it's cheaper to do so. We're only heading away for a week, so we don't really plan on spending more than 2 days at the park. I went on to portaventura.co.uk and saw that I can get two adult tickets for approx €130. There seems to be plenty other websites online selling tickets, but I am not confident in their reputation.

My only concern which just came to my attention is that (on portaventura.co.uk) it asks me to fill in a "Delivery Address". Surely I'm buying an e-Ticket (just a code, that I show at the entrance gate) and not waiting for them to post out physical tickets to me. With little over a week before I travel I don't think I have the time to wait for a delivery.

Can anyone shed some light on the process for me. I was in PortAventura in the early 90s and we just bought the tickets at the gate on the way in. If there is money to be saved I will try, but if there is a chance that I will end up paying for tickets that I cannot get my hands on before travelling then my options are much more limited than I would have thought.

Also I plan on heading on a Wednesday/Thursday, should we consider purchasing fast pass?, can this be purchased after we enter the park. E.g. if we go in and see the lines are long, can we go back and get ourselves an express pass?

we were over there a couple of years ago and a friend kindly informed us of the cheapest ticket possible. you will probably find this hard to believe but in the pubs in local spots such as salou they give 2 for 1 tickets to customers who buy a drink! great marketing strategy. so for the three of us i think we paid 50-60 euro. i would advise try this even at last resort you can pay at the gate on way in.
try a few pubs alot have them but not all just ask before you buy a drink we bought one for some chap sitting at the bar and got our tickets.

also we found that the best time to go to the park is around six in the evening seems a bit late but at this time the majority of people have left leaving the queues miminal which is a massive bonus cutting out hours of wasted time and you should get to do everything just be sure to do the big rides first or see what you would like to do and go for them first. there is also the fireworks show at midnight during the summer as your going soon i dont know if it has started yet but well worth seeing goes on for about an hour we were well impressed. Hope i was of some help.
    Enjoy
    Dave

    Hi,

You can buy tickets online for much cheaper then when you get there. DO NOT buy them from attraction tickets direct, they never told me the tickets I was buying was for 2 consecutive days and I got refused entry when I went back the 2nd day. I called them when I came home and they said I didnt ask the question and they didnt miss sell it. I would go with 365 tickets. The park is very good though.
