    Hello There

    So here is my query
I have only recently started selling stuff on ebay
I TRIED to upload info. for an item to sell today

It was in Auction format with a buy it now option

Here is the info. I was trying to upload

    starting bid : 2 Euro
    Reserve : 35 Euro
Buy it now Price : 45 Euro

    All seems straight forward
However, when I tried to upload it, got an error back from Ebay saying

" reserve price must be at least 70 Euro "

Now maybe im stoopid, but to me, this does not make sense, I have " buy it now" in as 45 and yet its looking for a reserve of " at least 70 Euro "

    Aby ideas ???

I'm guessing you can't set a reserve of below €70. Reserves are for high value items only?

That's right, on the UK and Ireland sites there's a minimum reserve you can set. On the UK site it's £50. eBay basically wants to discourage sellers from putting a reserve on auctions.

    thanks for replies

Makes sense now, thought reserves could be put on any item no matter how low the price

Change your opening bid to €35. Reserve prices do nothing more than piss people off TBH and cost you more.
