    Hey,

Not sure where the best place for this is but today's ibood is a pretty decent looking media player but it doesn't support H.264-codec. Would that make it pretty useless? I don't know about codecs but I'm pretty sure most things you'd want to play would use this no??

Well, just look at the videos you have, what format are they? Maybe they are all Xvid/Divx based movies? It really depends on your own video library.

But anyway, the standalone 'media box' market is getting very busy these days and in the near future, so definitely any product with a major shortcoming like that wouldn't be a good buy (imo).

To be honest... I'm not sure. They're mostly AVI's that I've, er, acquired. I haven't done any of the conversion on them myself. I just rely on the K-Lite Codec Pack to take all the brain power out of playing any of these media files for me.
