Nursing Interview

(Mods hope it's okay to post this here, thought I would get more specific advice here rather than Work & Jobs)

My girlfriend is a final year nursing student and has an interview with her training hospital soon for a staff nurse position.

If anyone has any advice with regards to the questions asked that would be great.

    A few of my own:

Given that it's the HSE/public service job, is it a competency based interview or more general?

If they ask questions such as "What are your daily duties on a medical or surgical ward?" or "What do you think the role of a health care assistant is*?" what are they looking for in an answer?

Any advice is much appreciated, thanks.

*Apparently this is one of the questions that came up, I assume it's in relation to actual carers rather than nurses, any idea what relevance this has?

I have a copy of the 'HSE (Dublin North) Candidate guide to application, interview and recruitment process' which I found on the net when I was looking for work myself. PM me your email address if you'd like me to email it to you. It may be of use to you, I certainly found it useful. :)
